West Bay Locksmith Services stands behind the quality of our work and provides clear expectations regarding warranty coverage for all locksmith services performed in Sonoma County, California.

1.Warranty Coverage

Warranty coverage varies based on:

  • Type of service performed
  • Parts and hardware installed
  • Manufacturer warranty terms
  • Condition of existing equipment
  • Usage and environmental factors

Specific warranty terms are documented on your service invoice at the time of completion.

2.Warranty Packages

When applicable, the following warranty options may be offered:

Standard Coverage

Included with service at no additional cost. Covers workmanship for a specified period as noted on your invoice.

Extended Coverage

Available at additional cost. Provides longer coverage periods for qualifying services.

Premium Coverage

Broader protection available for select installations and hardware upgrades.

3.Invoice as Warranty Record

Your service invoice serves as your warranty documentation. To request warranty service, you must provide:

  • Invoice number
  • Service address
  • Name on the account
  • Phone number on file

Please retain your invoice for your records.

4.What May Be Covered

Labor to correct installation-related issues
Replacement of covered parts that fail under normal use
Workmanship-related adjustments

5.What Is Not Covered

Pre-existing damage or wear
Normal wear and tear
Misuse, neglect, or abuse
Accidental damage
Weather or environmental damage
Damage caused by third parties
Cosmetic issues (non-functional)
Manufacturer defects (out of scope)
Unauthorized modifications

6.Manufacturer Warranties

Hardware and parts installed by West Bay Locksmith Services may carry separate manufacturer warranties. Claims are handled per the manufacturer's own policies and may require:

  • Model and serial numbers
  • Product registration
  • Proof of purchase
  • Completion of troubleshooting steps

We will assist you in initiating manufacturer warranty claims when possible.

7.Independent Contractors and Partner Technicians

For services performed by authorized independent contractors or partner technicians, warranty terms depend on the specific service agreement and invoice terms provided at the time of service.

8.California Consumer Protections

Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act

In accordance with the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (California Civil Code Sections 1790–1795.8), all implied warranties on goods sold in connection with our services are preserved.

If a product covered by an express warranty fails during the warranty period, you are entitled to repair, replacement, or refund as provided by California law.

Under California Business and Professions Code Section 7028.1, all warranty terms are disclosed in writing at the time of service.

9.How to Request Warranty Service

To initiate a warranty claim, contact us with your invoice details. An inspection may be required to evaluate the claim. We will schedule a follow-up visit at no charge if the issue falls within warranty coverage.

10.Policy Updates

West Bay Locksmith Services reserves the right to update this warranty policy at any time. Warranty claims are evaluated based on the terms in effect at the time of the original service, as documented on your invoice.
